A truck fleet is considered as one of the most common modes of transportation that is used worldwide. A Truck fleet refers to a group of trucks with a single owner (individual or a corporation).

* Safety consulting- The truck fleet services are quite extensive in nature. Therefore, it is necessary on the part of the truck fleet service provider to make necessary plans, policies and guidelines for the fleet drivers, support staff and fleet events. This creates uniformity for fleet efforts which can result in high levels of efficiency, reliability and flexibility. * Tracking of fleet trucks- The truck fleet provider must ensure that the goods are in a position to be traced down while they are in transit. The provider may subscribe to a Global positioning system (GPS), radio-based or mobile-based technologies to trace the goods and pass on the details of the geographical location to the customer or his/her appointed agent. This leads to high levels of customer satisfaction.

* Customer satisfaction- When the goods are picked up and delivered in an effective manner, with proper tracking, the levels of customer satisfaction remains high. This also helps with work of mouth advertising to attract business from prospective customers.

Fleet owners must take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and longevity of the fleet, namely:

* The owner must ensure that the trucks are in conformity with national and international road use and truck fleet standards.

* The owner may make programs such as providing incentives and disincentives to good and negligent drivers, respectively.

* There must be regular reviews to ensure that all things are running in a normal way.

* The truck fleet drivers must be educated about road safety programs and safety measures.

* Regular maintenance plans must be followed to ensure that the fleet vehicle is road worthy. Fit vehicles do not endanger lives and the valuable cargo.
